Bringing a smile to the SOS Family
At Easiprocess, we are not just satisfied with providing value to our customers. We realise that it is our contribution to the society that makes a difference.
It is with this intention that Easiprocess dedicates their time for a noble cause and goes all the way to make the children at SOS smile.
SOS Children’s Villages of India is a voluntary child welfare organisation that aims to help orphaned and destitute children by giving them a family, permanent home and a strong foundation for an independent and secure life. Today, there are over 200,000 children whose lives are being transformed by SOS Children’s Villages and allied projects like Kindergartens, Medical and Social Centres, Hermann Gmeiner Schools and Vocational Training Centres spread across the country.
Easiprocess is committed to supporting the Village located in Bangalore, by being a friend to the children at SOS, besides providing monetary support. Easiprocess is keen to see the children experience lives as normal as their classmates in school. One step that Easiprocess has taken to achieve this is to provide them with a fully equipped Computer Lab that fosters learning and skill development.
In Nov 2006, Easiprocess has donated a sum of INR 8 lakhs to SOS, Bangalore. Read more ...
Easiprocess and SOS get together every year for the Annual
Fun Day – EP SOS Anubhav
The SOS Project team at Easiprocess shares their experiences from the EP SOS Anubhav Diary.
EP SOS Anubhav 2006
"On 2nd April 2006, the employees of Easiprocess all came together to organise a day of sheer fun for the kids at SOS Children’s Village, Bangalore. The motto for the day was ‘To bring a smile to the SOS children.’
Easiprocess reached the SOS Village, to see the children all excited and dressed in their best attire, eager to start the fun events. The day began with warm welcoming smiles from the little angels and progressed with fun events like Passing the parcel, Lemon and spoon, Sack race and more. It wasn’t a surprise that soon Easiprocess and SOS looked as if they were all from the same family.
The fun and frolic was so engaging that it was noon too soon. We settled down to enjoy a scrumptious meal that was catered especially to suit SOS family’s taste. We returned to a delightful puppet show by a renowned artist that had been organised us. This was followed by a dance competition where the kids swept us off our feet with their well-rehearsed moves to the latest film songs. The day was indeed fun, especially when we had the winners walk away gleefully with their well-earned prizes.
Our Management and Mr. Trevor Sturgess (Business Editor - Kent Messenger Group, UK) presented the awards to the winners. Mr. Lokesh, the Village Director, concluded the event with a vote of thanks.
We realized that even though we didn’t do much for the SOS family, we brought a smile to their lovely faces. We have, therefore, planned to make many such frequent trips to lend a helping hand and reach out to those loving children.
After all, has it not been said that ‘children are the world's most valuable resource and the only hope for the future.’ For us at Easiprocess, it was a day of learning some deep truths. We would like to ensure that by our humble efforts we make a difference in as many young lives as possible."
EP SOS Anubhav 2007
"On 8 April 2007, Easiprocess conducted the second annual sports and fun day with even more zest than the previous year! The children enjoyed every moment of the games, dance, music and magic shows. Easiprocess in association with SOS, facilitated four UK students (from Leigh City Technology College) to engage in a work placement programme at SOS. The four students spent a week at SOS and learnt about the history of the organisation, how the organisation’s operations were run and more importantly how the children were looked after.
Easiprocess overwhelmed the SOS kids by hosting numerous games and events, distributing gifts and by giving the Children an opportunity to perform on stage.
Games were participated in with children screaming in elation until noon, till the addictive aroma of a delicious meal melted into the air. It was lunch time! Both families settled down to enjoy the meal that was catered especially to suit the SOS family’s taste.
Both families returned to a colourful display of talents on stage, performed by both the SOS Children and also the Easiprocess Family. The dance competition began with the Easiprocess family dancing to famous regional songs, followed by the SOS Children dancing to the latest songs. The day came to an end with the winners walking away gleefully with their well-earned prizes.
For us at Easiprocess, it was a day of learning from the children and we will cherish these fond memories forever."
EP SOS Anubhav 2008
" For the third consecutive year, in April 2008, Easiprocess conducted two days of fun activities for the kids. These were aimed at helping children have fun and participate in healthy competition through the literary, cultural and sports competitions held. As before, the Easiprocess family was determined to bring a smile to the children's faces.
This time around the Easiprocess family wanted to do something different from what was done in the previous two years. The Easiprocess staff, christened themselves ‘Easi Buddies’ and spent two days (12 and 13 April) with the kids. The kids were waiting for their Easiprocess friends with their innocent wonderful smiles and open arms to welcome their guest. It was a sunny day, ideal for loads of fun, as the kids dressed in their colourful attire and waited to win as many prizes as they could.
The first day was filled with various games, events and competitions like Frog Race, a competition on rhymes, flower pot decoration, Banana and Twin Race and Treasure Hunt. As expected, the smart children were very quick to grasp the rules of the games and many of them won prizes. The competition was tough as each child was smarter and more competent than the other. A Tug-of-War was organised between the Easi Buddies and the SOS staff where unbelievably, both teams fell apart, tearing the rope into two equal halves! A game of Passing the parcel was conducted for the mothers and aunties of the Village.
Speaking to the kids revealed that the perfection the displayed on the two days emerged from previous weeks of persistent rehearsals being held in every house of the village so that the children could win the events. The costumes they chose and the enthusiasm they participated with was exemplary!
On the second day, Easiprocess arranged for a professional Magician to perform for the kids and all of them enjoyed the show thoroughly. One of Easiprocess employees with a flair for acting, directed and taught the children a skit.
The CEO, Deputy CEO and MD of Easiprocess also graced the occasion. Besides their support, our clients also came down specifically for the Fun day and were pleased to present medals and certificates to the winners.
It was truly a wonderful sight to see with faces beaming with happiness. When the event concluded, the Easi Buddies realized that how the two days had helped them rejuvenate their spirits. At SOS we left the kids asking us, “When is the next SOS Anubhav?” and our staff re-confirming that they would be back the same time in the following year!"
